The news broke at approximately 3 p.m. today, Nov. 1, that the Chiefs game at Denver slated for Sunday, Nov. 17, has been flexed to Sunday Night Football. This move happens after numerous reports that CBS had “locked in” both the Chiefs’ games against Denver to prevent such movement.
The move, which is the first flex of the season, will have the Chiefs and Broncos game replacing the originally scheduled Packers vs. Giants game. That game will now be played on FOX at 3:25 p.m., while NBC will air Chargers vs. Dolphins at 3:05 p.m.
According to Newsday’s Neil Best, CBS had indeed previously protected the Nov. 17 game, but gave it up voluntarily so it could be viewed by a national audience as CBS had no national window that day.
The Nov. 17 game against Denver can now be seen on SNF at 7:30 p.m. Central Time.
